Biggest Loser opinions
BySo this past episode of the Biggest Loser was the notorious “Week 2″ which when explained by them is when your body backlashes by holding onto its body fat making it harder to burn off. In their heads that means they have to push them even harder to get them to lose the weight. Let’s use a little bit of common sense here.
If your body is backlashing against you by holding onto its body fat then maybe, just maybe you should back off a little bit. But I guess cycling the workouts is a foreign concept of these trainers amongst trainers. Genius program design? I don’t think so.
And what blatant advertising when Bobby boy had made a protein drink for one of the contestants. And guess what…she said it was “pretty good”. Would they have aired it if she said “ew that taste’s like $h!t”
And what the hell is this crap about Jillian selling her own crap line of kettlebells? If there is anyone who shouldn’t be teaching this its her. Our offer to teach her proper form on the kettlebells before she hurts somebody is still on the table. And on the cost saving price??? First off any kettlebell that is under 8kgs in my opinion is a joke.
Why? Because the handle would way as much as the bell which defeats the purpose of an offset center of mass which is what makes kettlebells perfect for ballistic movements. And its adjustable plates? Looks like an injury waiting to happen.
Especially if she is teaching you.
oh and one more thing. I found this while researching the show. This is from an overweight person that viewed those trainers as “experts” and guess what…they hurt themselves
“I injured myself because I tried to exercise “hardcore” the way Jillian and Bob push the contestants. I thought that was the way to lose weight because the people on the show do so well with being pushed to their physical limits. But instead of losing the 30 lbs I needed to lose, I tore a tendon in my foot from jogging at my maximum speed on my treadmill while watching the Biggest Loser. I’ve been in agony for months now, and may have to have surgery on my foot. This show should make it clear that people at home should NOT push themselves like the contestants are pushed because it is very easy to get injured, especially when you are not used to exercising. I reallly regret following this show’s example for weight loss.”

Yeah Eric I agree with you. I’m not a fan of the Biggest Loser and actually feel bad for the contestants for putting their faith into the show. Such a bad way to educate someone about what it means to live healthy for LIFE.
