Christmas reflections
ByHere it is…the most wonderful time of the year. Its the time of the year when everybody acts the way they should have acted the rest of the year. Christmas carols have been in the air since before Thanksgiving and the hustle and bustle has people buying things left and right for friends and family. Now as much as I enjoy seeing the look on people’s faces as the tear the paper off of their gifts I have to wonder to myself “Do we really understand why exactly we celebrate this holiday?”. Well its to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Forget about the commercialism that has infiltrated this holiday and be good to each other in his name or just for the sake of the golden rule (do unto others). Merry Christmas to you, or happy holidays if you prefer. And Happy Birthday to you Jesus.
