Fresh from the Russian Kettlebell Challenge (RKC)
ByWhew it was an exhausting weekend and I am not even sure how much I am going to be able to write about since I am still a bit fried physically and mentally. It was a great weekend despite being beatup and put through the grinder like that. I just love being around people of like mind and we are all there for the same love of kettlebell training that we all share. The Instructors there that were brutal to all of us are quite honestly some of the classiest people I have had the good fortune to be around. And what can I say about Pavel that hasn’t already been said? Going into the RKC he was my favorite author and not even just in fitness books. After having seen him in action I am more in awe of him then ever before. Someone can go up to him knowing what good form should be like but for whatever reason unable to fix it and he would see it, address the problem, give them a corrective exercise, they would perform the corrective exercise, then do the first exercise and be completely fixed. AMAZING! I learned so much this weekend that I can’t even put it into words. I have befriended some RKC’s from all over and as they say shared hardships strengthened bonds. At the end of it I sat with the Spartan statues which I intend to post a picture of (hence the full circle thing). I can’t wait to put all my new found knowledge to work but as far as exercise and filming will go I need a week to recover. My hands have torn callouses, my forearms are still sore, I am exhausted but I feel damn good.
