How many times do I really have to say it?
ByBy and far the thing people come to me the most is to flatten their stomach and get that six pack that only about 1/100 have. So when I assign things like swings, turkish getups, renegade rows, overhead pressing and such they wonder “Where are the ab exercises?”.
You see no matter how many times I say spot reduction is a myth people are still brainwashed to believe that something that is basically physiologically impossible. Well not completely impossible but it is in such small amounts that it isn’t worth your time anyways. Think about it a second though. Ab exercises are probably the most commonly done exercise out there next to the treadmill. If ab exercises were effective at burning stomach fat you would see a lot more people with visible abs but not as lean every where else. I have visible abs because I know how to train appropriately and I eat healthy. Its not because I know some secret combination of crunches or some other BS ab exercise.
So what can you learn from this? If you have been paying attention probably nothing because it isn’t anything I haven’t said before.
