if you can't trust the government who can you trust?

By

I just received an email from someone who is interested in losing a lot of body fat. When I asked her how much she responded with “I don’t know but the federal guidelines dictate yada yada yada”

Now I don’t know what you personally go by but I sure hope it isn’t the body mass index chart like she is. Why? Because that is the least accurate method of measuring body fat out there. They basically assume that the height to weight cookie cutter approach is the be all end all way of measuring who is fat and who is not so much.

See if someone were to just blindly follow that then it assumes that the tall skinny poindexter that sits in front of the computer all day playing World of Warcraft is healthier then the short broad shouldered guy with indestructible bones and densely packed muscular shoulders and legs.

Does that sound right to you? Me either.

Take a look at bodybuilder Lee Priest and compare him to Bill Gates and tell me who carries more body fat.

So if you can’t trust the government to tell you whats healthy who can you trust. Go by your performance. Go by your feats of strength. And go by the way you look and feel.

End of rant
