InfomercialScams.com … gone

By

So I was unsure of what to blog about tonight. I thought to myself it might be a good night for one of my posts where I would poke fun at some bit of nonsense that was attempting to market to the masses but for some reason whenever I would try to come up with something my mind would just go blank. So then I thought to myself that I could find my muse by going to an old source that I had gotten a lot of great unbiased info direct from the trenches; infomercialscams.com. Usually when I go to that site there are quite a bit of things I would be able to talk about but when I googled it google came up with nothing.

I thought to myself “wtf?” (and yes I actually thought out the letters instead of what they represent), so I did a little digging to see if I could find it.

Scheming Crafty Aggressive Malicious

If you are unfamiliar with that site it was essentially a website where people could vent about how they were ripped off and was categorized by individual products. I would say that the closest thing to it that I could point out is the responses from the people on my shake weight post. Well apparently the owner of the unbiased site got tired of fending off lawsuits from the companies backing the infomercial scammers and he sold the site. The new owners of the site had new ideas. Rather then keep the site an unbiased place where people could reveal the truth about the products which was supported by advertising the new owners figured they could make a bit of money from the companies where they could buy into a “consumer protection program” which supposedly allows companies to hide and even change negative feedback on their products.

Essentially what they paid for is the ability to lie to you.

If you are pissed off too I want to hear about it. Or if you disagree with me. I want you to tell the truth about what you are thinking.
