just a rant
Bygive a mouse a cookie he’ll ask for a glass of milk
So I got an email a little bit ago that rather annoyed me. As a fitness professional I have written out a free program to get you ripped abs. The program took a lot of planning because the goals I had written for it were intended to be doable by anybody yet be intense enough to give even the most fit a challenge. I wanted it to open people’s eyes to a different style of training and I wanted it to be able to be done on a shoestring budget. At the same time I wanted it to be effective at increasing strength and conditioning.
Well apparently that isn’t good enough for some people…and you know who your ass is. One person in particular spoke broken English which is fine. He asked for my advice, I gave it. He said he couldn’t understand and wanted to talk on skype. I don’t have skype so I redirected him to the FlowFit program. If he can’t understand me in the email he wouldn’t understand me on skype either. So after me trying to help him despite his insistent and annoying emails he sent me this.
“Fuck your mother”
Now I don’t know if he is mentally unstable, a plain and simple asshole or on drugs or all of the above but whatever it is he doesn’t deserve my attention or help and I will no longer give it to him. He doesn’t have to be thankful for my attempts at helping him but I do demand to be respected. Not because I am some huge trainer or whatever but simply because I am a human being and tried to help.

hey eric,
i received some advice as a teenager from the guy who was my trainer at my second job (selling watches – my first one was sweeping the floor in a print shop). he said, “david, just remember, there are a lot of assholes in the world”.
i sympathize with this incident, bro. it’s terrible when you are giving and the other person is ignorant. the world has all kinds.
regards,
david
