Lifestyle choices

By admin

So over the weekend I was on a road trip with my fiance and she had mentioned how people at work didn’t understand some of her decisions.  You see she opted out of eating white bread when she wasn’t on a diet meanwhile these 2 girls were following weight watchers and they were.  The girls just couldn’t grasp the fact that she was eating healthy while not on an official diet.  The sissies just don’t get it…and you know what?  That is why they will never truly succeed.

I told her to tell them its not a diet…its a lifestyle.  A diet is a temporary fix for a long term problem.  People go on a diet…drop a few pounds and go off of it.  The same is true for exercise programs.  You see for her and myself we keep it a healthy fit lifestyle.  The pursuit of physical excellence is a hobby of ours.  It isn’t done seasonally but its all year round.  This is why when the beach season is coming up I don’t go in a panic that I need to get in shape because people are going to see me without a shirt.  I am always ready because I never stop.  Nutrition and exercise is a part of our lifestyle because of choices I make.  I choose strength over weakness and shame and I choose to have abs instead of flab.

Which do you choose?  The way of a modern warrior? or the way of the wimp?

Well said. All decisions should stand the test of time. I’ve never understood society’s fascination with quick fixes. They’re often unhealthy, substandard, and most of all, don’t last.
