So you want to know a little bit more about me? Alright then. I first started getting into training in 1998 for wrestling and martial arts. I made a LOT of mistakes in that time which forced a mindset to always continue to learn and gave me a hunger to always better myself physically. I grew up an comic books and Arnold movies as a kid and wanted to be stronger so I equated being bigger with being stronger and I always wanted to be strong since I was picked on as a kid. Somewhere along the line and my quest of being big and strong I woke up one day, looked in the mirror and noticed that I gained a lot of mass (45lbs), except it was fat instead of muscle. At the same time I parted ways with the gym I was a personal trainer for over differences of opinion. The gym owner thought he was a good guy and I thought he was an a$$hole.
It was not a good time for me.
Around the same time I did a body transformation while I was researching kettlebells, sandbags and other methods of unconventional training. I had to do something. I did a 12 week transformation program and got ripped and still remain ripped. Here is how the pictures came out.
I created this blog to educate you and prevent you from making many of the same mistakes that I made, and that plagues the fitness industry as a whole. I am on a continual quest of physical culture and am constantly researching new ways of doing things to make myself stronger and fitter while remaining natural. Some things I find to be bullshit and I tell you about it. Some thing turn out to be great…and I tell you about it. I hope you enjoy my sense of humor because I try not to make things as serious as others do.
Unlike many within the industry that talk a good talk but fail to walk the walk I am always improving myself and prove it with my videos that are meant to simultaneously show you that I am credible and are also meant to inspire you. In my journey of strength I’ve crossed paths with some of the strongest people in the world and picked their brains. I’ve had rare opportunities where I was able to learn to become a Professional Old-time Performing Strongman..
Here is a video of me doing 50 pistol squats. Pistols are one of my fav body weight exercises
When I am not researching or training to make myself better I work as a fitness entrepreneur and run classes in a studio in Pinebrook NJ.
This blog is meant to chronicle my life and lessons as a fitness professional and as a professional strongman. I see lessons in my journey that you can learn from and so I speak about them. I have a rather unique perspective that I’ve gained from my experiences on a road most don’t have the opportunity to see.
