re: what happened to 12 weeks of torture????

By

So a couple years back I had gotten ripped and wrote a program lovingly called 12 weeks of torture that explored several different avenues of the different training styles that I was into back then. Recently I had taken it down and had it redirected here which there is a good chance that’s how you ended up here. Here is why.

I didn’t think anyone was still doing it and it was costing me money to keep it up.

I’ve grown as a trainer since then and no longer thought it was a good program and thought you deserved better.

So I had a dilemma, leave up a website that might be getting traffic to what I believed to be a sub par program but was still getting traffic…or pull a fast one that I think will help you out better and I went with the latter.

The problem with 12 weeks of torture is actually partially in the title…I made a program that was hard…ish but didn’t really have that much rhyme to a reason. It was diet and exercise and that’s why it worked but truth is you could do the same if not better with other programs that would also be user friendly. Actually what I had originally envisioned back then was to have text and videos and other cool stuff but it was my first non free website and I didn’t really know what I was doing internet wise. I actually still don’t but now I can have people help me out with it.

So I’ve been getting email about getting a new program up that you can follow. Truth be told I don’t need to put up another one because there are still program that I did that had more intelligence already up on my youtube channel but chances are you missed it. Until I come up with something new…I’d rather you followed this program instead since it is a better program.

There are better things then that too. As you already know I am a huge fan of Kettlebell Burn by master RKC Geoff Neupert. Also coming from the standpoint of a newly single guy I have to say there is something to the whole Adonis Effect thing and it’s been fun field testing whether or not the Adonis Effect is a real thing or just a marketable thing. It’s real baby :) Now personally I don’t follow their program since I tend to be more performance based with the steel bending and all but I can’t argue with their results.

So in the mean time sign up for my newsletter that includes a new the 7 strength myths busted ebook that I wrote and if you still want me to write up a program I will…but I need to know which goals are most important to my followers so I can create a program around it. Please respond in the comments below so we can get a dialog going and I can figure out which goals are important to you.

I would like to see another program to build strength and become lean while doing a variety of interesting work outs. I liked the old 12 week program because it was working for me when I did it, but also because there was such a variety or activities I was doing, it was fun to work out. I don’t want to just do a strict kettle bell workout, to me that’s boring, however I do like the results. Hitting a tire with a hammer is just so much fun though…I also liked how the exercises seemed to become more difficult and the amount of reps was out of my reach so it pushed me to work my hardest. Insanity and P90x are similar but they still do the same workouts on certain days, there’s actually only a few videos. Yours had like 50 different exercises and then variations on those, that’s what I would like to see again.

Hey man i just saw a youtube video of yours and thought id visit. I think like most people id like to blast some fat off and make some muscle. Im pretty new to exercise and my muscle tone is non existent. Im already bored of the kettlebell swing and just need someone to show me a few things so i can get some results. Thanks a lot,

Tim

My goals are based on being a more athletic person i.e. sprinting faster, jumping higher, and being more explosive for mma. I don’t like the bulky look but more of a lean fighter look

If you are bored with the kettlebell swing, go heavier. The swing is one of if not the most valuable exercise you can do. Remember, exercise isn’t meant to entertain you…it’s to make you into a badass

Your style is really unique compared to other
people I have read stuff from. I appreciate you for posting when you have the
opportunity, Guess I’ll just book mark this blog.

I was following your 12 weeks of madness religiously. It worked wonders for me. I actually did it for a whole year. After you took it out I’ve done a lot of different type of exercises which did not work for me including the ones you posted here. Is there any way I can get hold of the 12 weeks program again? I wouldn’t mind paying

I’m glad that the program was working wonders for you but truth be told it probably did well by you because you were new to training (i could be wrong on this assumption). People new to training will always respond quickly to a program which is what makes some people think that a sub par program is spectacular.

Truth be told I’m not sure if I even have it still but I can tell you the rhyme behind the reason. Take a bunch of exercises…like as many as you can think of. Write them down, put them in a hat. Pull 4 out and do it like a circuit. Some days only pull 2 out and some days pull 3 out. Vary the reps as much as you like, occasionally do tabata style intervals and that sort of thing.

Good luck.
Eric
