Ripper Owens + Yngwie Malmstein
By adminTonight I am going to see Yngwie Malmstein with Tim “the Ripper” Owens in concert. Now if you don’t really know me I am a big fan of old school heavy metal with Judas Priest being my favorite band. Tim “the Ripper” Owens is the guy that replaced Rob Halford in Judas Priest and is also the one that the movie Rockstar is based off of. At first I was upset that Ripper joined Yngwie because even though Yngwie is a guitar god he is also famous for having a bad attitude and I didn’t think Ripper should put up with it. I am pumped for this concert tonight since they are both incredibly talented and is a duo that reminds me a bit of Jim Gillette’s pairing with Micheal Angelo Batio. Awesome vocals, awesome guitar should be a winning combination.
