Rom fast exercise…uh thing. Are you kidding me?
ByYou know every once in awhile you come along something revolutionary, something extraordinary and something that makes you question everything you know or thought you knew. This isn’t that something.
Now maybe this thing provides a heck of a workout but I will probably never know. Curiosity will not over power my stinginess to subtract 15 grand (yeah you heard me) from my bank account in order to try it out. This thing promises to provide a world class workout in as little as 4 minutes including the muscles that push pull and squat. Perhaps it does but like I said at a hefty price tag of 15 thousand big ones, I’ll never know.
But I do have some questions.
What about “core stability”?
What if your sport requires you to go longer then 4 minutes?
Is this 1 size fits all? If yes that means that an NFL player should leave Defranco’s gym will be able to use it and a sedentary woman will be able to leave Curves for this?
No supervision required? Idiot proof?
And here is a simple observation. One of the selling points is that it only takes 4 minutes which makes it easy to fit into a busy schedule. Well judging by the size of that thing that means you aren’t going to be taking it anywhere so that means you would have to go back to wherever it is to use it. Doesn’t seem so easy to fit into a schedule for a lot of people.
And if 4 minutes is all you have to spare for exercise…how valuable is your time that would justify the purchase of this thing over something else that takes a little bit longer? Does that mean that a 20 minute workout using an $80 piece of equipment isn’t worth your time? Are you Donald Trump? (If you are what are you doing reading my blog if your time is worth that much money?) To conclude, are you kidding me?
What do you think? Agree? Disagree? Why?

Supposedly Anthony Robbins has one of these for each of his residences.
That being said, this costs about $15K, your average gym treadmill is about $3-5K
Would this be a good replacement for 3-4 treadmills in a gym or other clinical setting. Absolutely.
I have used one of these is a studio gym that has 6 of these, versa climbers, and Power Plates.
1) That 4 minute workout for both pushing and pulling was hard. The way the flywheel system is design, the harder you push the more resistance there is. Would I pay for this? No. But I wouldn’t buy a treadmill for $3K, but you are subsidizing much more than that when you join a gym. I think many gyms would benefit by getting rid of 4 of their treadmills to get one of these. I also thing they could get rid of one of their treadmills and either get a full set of kettlebells OR a copy of every book Pavel ever published.
2) There is a 4 minute stair type workout that is also hard. Again, it forces you to work in both directions.
3) The machine is very well made. Is it $15000 well made. Not in my dollars, but if I was Tony Robbins, maybe.
Again, there are more of these sold than you think. I think most of them are in a commercial or clinical setting, where I could see them (along with a $7000 power plate). In those setting the machines get more use, and cost less per person and would make sense….
Again, I have see MUCH WORSE SHIT come out of the fitness industry.

are you sure Tim? I mean it’s only 15 thousand dollars…what else would you do with that

Ooooh. I’m gonna go get one RIGHT NOW.
There’s a place down the street from the studio I train out of that has one of those things and a “free trial.” Funny, I never see anyone go in. Come to think of it, I also never see anyone go out. Hmmmm…

Yup. And to think you have the kettlebell which accomplishes the same thing (well its a little longer then 4 minutes but hey we aren’t Donald Trump). Well come to think about it the kettlebell isn’t idiot proof hence the need for the RKC system which we both use.

oh there definitely are worse things. I wasn’t knocking it’s effectiveness (I have no idea how effective it is and I’ll probably never know). For somebody who’s time is worth as much as Tony Robbins yeah the thing makes sense. And it probably makes sense for Curves type places that need a systematized thing that won’t hurt anybody. It seems like it is being marketed to regular people to be put in their homes much like a bowflex. Their claim to fame and unique selling point is that it is perfect for busy people because it is only 4 minutes.
And yes there is a never ending supply of much worse shit coming from the fitness industry. I could have 10 years worth of blog posts just on that alone.
