the ideal home training room
BySo I have been uber busy the past couple days with trying to film my kettlebell nitro program, running my businesses and the biggest one house hunting.
One of the things I plan on doing in my house to be is converting one of the rooms, garage whatever into a home training room/personal training studio where I could give my victims a proper beatdown. So the topic had come up with what I would put in there.
Not much to be honest with you. Here is the list.
1. my kettlebells
2. deadlifting platform
3. olympic bar and bumper plates
4. squat rack and bench
5. sandbag
6. bodylastics bands
7. suspension trainers (junglegym)
8. pullup bar
(honestly though just give me my kettlebells and a space to train with them and im good)
I would not include
treadmill
ab gizmos
elliptical
stair climber
bowflex (dear god what would I do without the power rod technology)
See with just the things I put in my gym that is a world class training space that can get you to complete physical excellence. Honorable mentions would include clubbells but I have yet to tackle that method of training. You don’t need a gym membership when your own house is a superior training facility.

Who needs “24hrs”? Let the world be my gym. If you’re looking for suggestions, I would recommend a air rower like a C2, a few 10ft links of 3/4″ manila rope for hard core jump ropes (Lowes), and a few links of 1 3/4″- 2 1/2″ fire hose. If you’re not looking for suggestions, then ignore me completely no worries. Good luck in the house hunt. You should be able to find exactly what you want for a great price, if the market in Jersey is like it is here in Houston.
p.s. If you don’t mind paying for the shipping, I can send you a few 50ft links of fire hose. I get ‘em for free. Let me know.

firehose would be great..especially for training fire fighters as i know you are aware of. i probably wouldn’t get a c2 rower even though i know they are pretty good. for full body movements to bring my heart rate up swings and snatches do the trick. i do use battling ropes but thats for outside purposes (just like my tire)
