To Whom This May Concern…
ByI ask this as a cease and desist when it comes to trying to instruct people in the proper use of kettlebells. You see I base a great deal of my business around proper use of kettlebell training in the ways of physical improvement in a safe manner. When you teach people unsafe technique and they get injured they are likely to blame the kettlebell. Well its not the kettlebell that is injuring people, it is the flawed technique that you showed them. I tried to open kettlebell classes in a facility that shared space with a chiropractor and he said he wasn’t a fan of them because they were injuring people. Well according to Dragondoor I am the only certified instructor within 20 miles of that place so it isn’t us.
No, we do things safe.
It was you. The one who didn’t check to make sure you were doing it right before you taught it. You, who models yourself after a trainer that puts more people in the hospital then a soccer riot. You who teaches like this . Recently I talked to a martial arts instructor who had learned improper technique from a certain popular, going against the grain type of fitness facility, and injured her back and in doing so had to go to physical therapy. I asked her to show me what a swing looked like without her holding a kettlebell and I could automatically see the problems with her technique. When her back was better she came to me and I taught her the SAFE way of performing the swing and she said it was worlds apart. It isn’t a big deal for me to clean up your mess. My problem is when they get scared off completely. That is damaging to my business and it prevents the would be girevik from attaining the body they want by using a very efficient tool. If you are going to continue training people with a kettlebell then please learn safe and proper technique. Fellow RKC Jordan Vezina has created an excellent guide to teaching proper form which he had asked me to review. I highly suggest you learn from him by buying his video Kettlebell Corrections.. If you wish to continue injuring people…Just remember what goes around comes around and Karma is a bitch. and don’t make me come over there and give you a smack on the head and a kick in the ass.
Eric Moss over and out
incidentally that one who injured her back told me she is still a little bit scared of the kettlebell. I said good…when you don’t respect it, that’s when you get injured.
