women's bodybuilding

By admin

So I was perusing a fitness forum last night and came upon a conversation where someone had asked what they thought of personal training in a down economy. A female bodybuilder had given her 2 cents and he proceeded to berate her due to her physical appearance so I figured I would offer my 2 cents here.

Why must you try and shit on her accomplishment? Is it because you have none of your own to speak of? Is it because you feel like you are less of a man? In my not so humble opinion you are.

Although bodybuilding is not my bag I can respect hard work and discipline when I see it. Female body building is no exception too that. Given female’s hormones and genetic disadvantages in the quest of serious size they have to work extra hard to accomplish things to that degree.

I constantly say to my female clients “no this will not make you look like a bodybuilder unless you have to shave off your 5 o’clock shadow every morning or unless you are that genetic one in a million”

Well that genetic one in a million is a rare thing obviously and the work ethic that has to go hand in hand with that is also rare. If you happen to meet a female bodybuilder try not to shun her…applaud what she has accomplished because she is a hard worker unlike your typical pencil neck that thinks they are so high and mighty yet has nothing to show for it. As The Rock has said back in his hey day…”Know your damn role”

Women definitely face a challenge when they get into this sport, but if you take advantage of all the little things you should be able to get the results.
